11 facts about me:
1.) My birthday is on the 29 April – the same day Will and
Kate got married last year (I knew I would have a royal connection somewhere!)
2.) I am a vegetarian – only because I love animals too much
to eat them.
3.) And a hopeless romantic
4.) I have an online shopping addiction – it’s bad!
5.) I will be 25 this year… 20 freaking 5. Yoh. Should I
feel grown up yet? Because I don’t!
6.) I have a phobia of worms and slugs.
7.) And I cannot bite cotton off with my teeth – it makes me
feel so weird. I am so weird. I know.
8.) I am the youngest in my family and the first one to
finish uni.
9.) I could never date a guy with ugly hands – and I don’t
even think I am a hands or feet person but for some reason a guy has to have
nice hands, a nice smile and nice eyes.
10.) If my room is a mess you know my life is too.
11.) I am somewhat-newly-about-to-be-single. My love life is pretty messy and non-existent.

1.) Do speak more than one language? If so, which ones?
I would like to say yes. However I studied Afrikaans, Zulu,
Spanish and Latin at school and can hardly string a coherent sentence together in any of those languages…so
nope!
2.) Have you ever travelled outside of your home country? If so,
where to?
Home was South Africa and now I live in London. When I was
little we travelled to Zimbabwe every year for our family holiday. I have lived
in Tahoe, California briefly for a ski season and travelled from Paris to Rome
last year,
3.) Do you prefer cooking a homemade meal or eating out?
I hate cooking. But I do prefer healthy food. If it’s McDonalds
or a home cooked meal I would opt for the latter but if it was a nice restaurant
I would much rather choose that over my cooking attempts.
4.) What are your hobbies?
Does Pinterest count? I love trying out new coffee shops (only
to order chai lattes), photography, blogging, shopping, drawing, reading,
hanging out with friends (I have such amazing friends!), walking – I love
walking around London, it’s so inspiring, tanning – this can be a hobby right?
Surfing when I am back home (gosh I miss the ocean).
5.) What was your favourite past-time as a child?
Playing dolls.
6.) How do you spend Sunday afternoons?
Sundays are dedicated to church. It sounds nerdy but on
Sundays you can find me at Hillsong, London. Pop by if you are ever around, it’s not just a
bunch of old people I swear ;)
7.) What is your favourite perfume?
Gucci guilty and Miss Dior. Wish I liked Chanel, I always
wanted to but just don’t.
8.) What is one of your goals for 2013?
To be kind. I think the world needs more kindness. “As you

9.) Flats or high heels?
Flats when I am late and running to the office. Heels once I
am at my desk. Ankle heel boots for the weekend.

I don’t have a favourite artist but I have a few fave songs
like: Swedish House Mafia – Don’t Worry Child, Tegan and Sara – Closer and …. oooh
wait, I do love Florence and the Machine!

A boy. So I could finally figure out what the heck they are

This is the outfit I wore today. Considering it is a little chilly outside I opted for some thick tights under this maxi skirt too. I am all about comfort and practicality I tell you. Excuse the laundry in the background - it was washing day but wanted to quickly snap this on my way out.

Hello 2013
So I missed the mark of posting a New Year's post. And I wasn't going to but now I cannot sleep and I find myself randomly typing this with no real direction of where it is going to end exactly. Excuse the midnight waflfle. Now would be a good time to stop reading!
I wasn't really feeling the whole "New Year's Thing" this year for some random reason. And I am not usually a cynic so I do not know why I am about to sound like one! But for someone reason New Year's just seems like an excuse to do the things you never started when you should have. Do you know what I mean? Why do we have to wait for a Monday or worse, a whole New Year to make the changes we want to make? Screw that. Start today. Yesterday you said today. Just do it already!
On the morning of the 31st, I arrived half an hour early for a coffee date with my friend (I am always punctual but this was just ri-don-culous. So I started making a list of things I wanted to work on and things I wanted to finish. I do love compiling a list and after looking back on 2012 these were a few of my goals for 2013. Side note: this year they will not be called "New Year's Resolutions" because I do not want them to fizzle out by June.
Save first, spend later - I worked on this last year and want to do even better this year. Ideally I do not want to be 40 and still house sharing.
Be kind. To friends, family and strangers. All the time. I really do believe everyone is fighting their own battle and a little kindness could make or break someone. Make sure I am not the one breaking them.
Read all of James Frey's books. I LOVED A Million Little Pieces so much I cannot wait to get my hands on the others.
Watch Lord Of The Rings so I can finally see what all the fuss is about. And don't fall asleep!
Eat Clean. January is going to be my month of discipline. Yes, this will most probably be the worst month of the year for me. I like sugar. It is day 3 and I am miserable. Perhaps this is why I am turning into a cynic? Someone quick, get me a snickers!
Journal more. I have so many pretty journals that I haven't wanted to ruin by writing in. I know this defeats the purpose of a journal I need to get over this milestone and get scribbling Speaking of which have you seen a "wreck this journal" journal - they are awesome! I want one. But cannot spend - crap.
What are some of your goals / dreams / desires / resolutions for 2013?
